David Keith Best, a native of Valdosta, GA, arrived at Francis Marion University in 1993 after having earned his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre at the University of Louisville in 1993 and his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Valdosta State University in 1986.
As an artist, David Keith Best has performed professionally with the New Harmony Theatre in Indiana, Music Theatre of Louisville, Jekyll Island Musical Theatre, Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC, and many other organizations.
Bestill, a musical production Best collaborated on with fellow professor Brandon Goff, recently debuted in workshop mode at the FMU Performing Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre.
From participating in the local arts community to volunteering with a variety of regional nonprofits, Best supports and enriches the greater Florence, SC, area.
